Hello everyone!
Philanthropy is very important to the Chi Delta Chapter of Chi Omega, aligning closely with its values of service and friendship. By supporting Make-A-Wish, the chapter fulfills wishes for critically ill children, engages with the community, and raises awareness for important causes. Not only has our chapter done this through Make-A-Wish, but we have reached out to other non-profit organizations in the Jackson area and helped contribute to their organizations. Through philanthropy, members develop leadership skills, empathy, and a strong sense of sisterhood, strengthening bonds and making a positive impact on society!

Make - A - Wish
The Millsaps chapter of Chi Omega supports Chi Omega’s national philanthropy, Make-A-Wish. Since our national partnership was established, our chapter has raised over $170,000 through different fundraising events such as Chi O Crawfish, Waffles for Wishes, Chi O Donuts, Cookies with Chi O, Caramel Apples, Wish Upon a Star, Pie a Chi (O), Lip Synch competition, Walk for a Wish, Swishes for Wishes, silent auctions, and drawdowns.
Our members serve the local Make-A-Wish chapter in a number of ways including participation in wish-granting ceremonies, the fan-fare of welcoming Wish Kids home from their experiences, and serving as volunteers in the office.
Cali's Smile
Another local non-profit that Chi Delta supports is Cali's Smile, designed to assist special needs families in Mississippi to make their day to day lives easier and more functional by providing modification to their homes, funding for travel to offset expenses for out-of-town medical procedures, and assistance with purchases that improve their quality of life!
